I don’t frequently post recipes here, but I came across this wonderful recipe on facebook the other day, and it was so good, I had to share it with everyone.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 slices applewood smoked bacon
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp chili powder
Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon and place in crock pot. Mix maple syrup with chili powder and drizzle evenly over the top of the chicken. Cook on low for 6 hours.
(I would post a link to the original recipe, but I can’t find it now.)
I substituted 6 chicken tenderloins for the 4 chicken breasts and wrapped each with one slice of bacon. I served them with fried okra and brussels sprouts (spritzed with EVOO and seasoned with salt, pepper, rosemary, and basil, and baked at 350° for 30 minutes).
